MYSTERY SURPRISE - - TV Actor in Seoul

Hello Everyone,

SEE SHOWS HERE: http://www.rahelmusic.com/

For the past few months I have had a wonderful opportunity to work on my new career as an actor. Admittedly I have MUCH still to learn. I am happy to report that since January 2020 I have also had the good fortune of studying with a wonderful acting teacher, Mr. Chase Lee.

Chase Lee was born in Korea but grew up in Australia. He specializes in the Meisner Acting Technique. So I have been learning acting using this technique.

Acting is no picnic. It's VERY challenging especially when using Meisner. Generally actors use scripts to apply emotions. Meisner actors learn the source of their emotions so they can tap into them in order to apply them to the given script while simultaneously responding to the other actors. This is no easy task, believe me. So I am very thankful to have the opportunities to take on roles for the MYSTERY SURPRISE TV show on the MBC channel here in Seoul.

The Mystery Surprise TV show presents reenactments of real life people and their stories. Many of the "actors" are not actually actors. They are "foreign" residents living in South Korea who may be engaged in different professions such as teaching and other business related careers. Nevertheless, whether as a hobby or career choice they have a genuine interest in acting.

The show has been on air since 2002. It has a large following and is a favorite here in South Korea. Each episode is filmed in one day and then edited over the course of the week. The episodes are then aired the following week. This accounts for the somewhat weak cinematography and more amateurish acting. Nobody is really bothered by all that because the stories are very interesting and endearing. This is the real magic of the show and accounts for its longevity.

So without further ado I invite you to watch the three episodes that I have appeared in to date.
