Yes, I'm still a working girl and very happy to be working in Seoul, South Korea since May 2019! I'm not sure if any other country would offer me this new career change at this stage in my life's journey. I didn't pursue it. It kind of fell into my lap - or I was Divinely Guided to be doing this kind of work now?      Hwangtoe is a Korean photographer and filmmaker. He makes short films as advertisements (I think!). Lifestyle Modeling in Seoul, South Korea

Image
I've been living in South Korea since July 2018 and in Seoul since May 2019. My original plan was just to visit Korea as part of my elder journey around Asia and the Oceana countries. I fell in love with Korea and ended up signing a contract with an agency and getting an E-6 alien resident visa. This enabled me to stay and work in Korea in the Entertainment business. I was given the title of "Actor, Model, Musician". Me? Actor? Well, okay. I do have some acting experience from my residency in Israel. Me? A model? That was new. It was actually quite amusing to think that at age 65 I had become a model! Ah, no, not a fashion model. Though maybe someday a fashion company will realize that even we elders enjoy nice clothes. Clothes that would be custom made to our elder body shapes and sizes. Clothes that would make us look awesomely attractive! Meantime I am working as a "lifestyle" model.     In Korea I am usually typecast as a grandmother or someone's mom

NH4Israel - A History to Remember

Image
https://youtu.be/9HSE4E4eTSY NH4Israel is New Hampshire for Israel. After living in Israel for twenty-two years I returned to the USA and moved to New Hampshire. My intent was to stay for five years. It turned into twenty! During that time I engaged mostly in and with the local Jewish community. I became a Cantorial Soloist or song leader and educator. I worked in a number of synagogues and with the local Jewish communities all around New Hampshire and in Massachusetts also as a teacher of Hebrew, Music and Jewish Studies. I worked with a wealth of rabbis. I took part in the National Havurah Committee's annual summer and winter retreats conducting workshops and playing music.  In order to maintain one's Jewish identity in the USA the main place to find Jewish community is at a synagogue. It took some getting used to after living in Israel for so long. In Israel, THE Jewish state and homeland, you don't have to make much of an effort to be Jewish since Jews are the majorit

There is very good energy in this part of Seoul. Dong-A is a legacy newspaper in Korea that is celebrating their 100th year in production. I was contacted and asked to be part of the celebration. Of course I agreed. It is a great honor to be respected in this way. I am very grateful to the country and people of Korea for welcoming me into their country where I have been able to find work and start a new career even at this age! Thank you to Dong A newspaper. Free My Soul, Free My Song – The Story of Fingerstyle Guitarist Kim Ji Hee

Image
At this time this review has not been published. I hope it will be at some point.  However, I feel that this wonderful artist and her story is worth sharing.  Free My Soul, Free My Song – The Story of Fingerstyle Guitarist Kim Ji Hee Review by Kim MiSo aka Rahel Limor I first met Ms. Kim Ji Hee in the summer of 2018. I was a traveler touring in Seoul. I had just enjoyed a concert featuring some very talented Korean finger-style guitarists and was lingering around as the audience dispersed when a woman approached me. She and her daughter had been sitting behind me during the performance. The woman introduced herself and then turned to her daughter. “This is my daughter, Kim Ji Hee. She is a finger-style guitarist too”, she said. The young girl gave a shy smile. We talked a bit asking the usual questions one asks when just meeting. I, too, am a guitarist from America traveling and touring here in South Korea. We exchanged business cards and snapped a few pictures together. Perha
