My job was to speak with local Koreans in English. This helped me to learn so much about life in Korea. "Leon" aka Choi Kwang Sok worked at the Homestay. One night we grabbed this opportunity to practice a lovely Korean song that we would then perform at one of my busking outings. One day I hope I will also be able to sing the lyrics!! Paul absolutely loved Bluegrass music and was instrumental in bringing it to Israel and introducing the Israeli population to this style of music. He was central to our jam sessions, performances and love of this musical genre. I met Paul in 1976 when I arrived in Israel. We performed together for the entire 22 years that I lived in Israel - - and also when I returned for subsequent visits. This was one of those reunion jam session performances in 2004 in Jerusalem at a local music store, "The Music House".

Since this was a personal project of a young student I felt that it would be the perfect opportunity to try out learning a script! I really enjoyed playing the part of the "Crazy Eccentric Lady" in this 'Groundhog Day"-style film. I learned a lot from the experience. Acting is actually not all about learning lines!!! Suddenly I realized I need to invent the character - the crazy eccentric lady. Who was she, what did she look like, what was her story, how does she walk and talk and why and on and on. Phew! I'm so glad Kevin trusted me to do the part!! Give Kevin a "THUMBS UP" for his first try at filmmaking. He, too, realized it's not so easy! I am happy to report that since January 2020 I have also had the good fortune of studying with a wonderful acting teacher, Mr. Chase Lee. Chase Lee was born in Korea but grew up in Australia. He specializes in the Meisner Acting Technique. So I have been learning acting using this technique. Acting is no picnic. It's VERY challenging especially when using Meisner. Generally actors use scripts to apply emotions. Meisner actors learn the source of their emotions so they can tap into them in order to apply them to the given script while simultaneously responding to the other actors. This is no easy task, believe me. So I am very thankful to have the opportunities to take on roles for the MYSTERY SURPRISE  TV show on the MBC channel here in Seoul.
