Tumbalalaika with Rahel


Back in 2018 I was living in Busan, South Korea. It was a dream come true - busking by Haeundae Beach almost every day. Here I was singing a song in Yiddish and this guy came along and inserted himself into the song. He seemed also to know a bit of Hebrew. I have no idea who he is but it was also clear he had been drinking (yup the breath gave it away).

My Granddaughter turned me on to K-POP!!

  Yesterday my 4-year-old granddaughter requested a song which totally surprised me!!  My granddaughter loves music and sings all the time. When she was a baby, we played her the ever popular (in our family!) She seems to always have a favorite song she wants to hear. It used to be nursery rhymes. This past year, however, she had advanced to Beatles songs: "Yellow Submarine" and most recently "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"!!
